Terms of service

Plain terms for serious people.

Effective August 1, 2026

1. The service

Cofounder for Startup is a matching layer that introduces founders, investors, and cofounder candidates on mutual interest. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or placement agent; we facilitate introductions, not transactions, and take no part in any deal you close.

2. Eligibility and verification

You must be 18+, use your real identity, and pass review before swiping. Investor accounts require fund registration or a documented track record. Misrepresenting identity, traction, or check-writing ability is grounds for immediate removal.

3. Fees

Cofounder for Startup is free to use. We never charge success fees, carry, or any percentage of funds raised — if anyone claiming to represent Cofounder for Startup asks for one, report it.

4. Acceptable use

No spam or bulk outreach, no scraping the directory, no soliciting for unrelated services, no harassment. Confidential materials shared in a data room may be used only to evaluate the opportunity they belong to.

5. Your content

You own everything you post and grant us a limited license to display it according to your privacy gates. You are responsible for the accuracy of traction and terms you publish.

6. No investment advice

Nothing on Cofounder for Startup is a recommendation to invest, join, or transact. Verification reduces fraud; it is not diligence. Do your own.

7. Liability and termination

The service is provided as-is. You may delete your account anytime; we may suspend accounts that break these terms. Material changes are announced 30 days ahead. Questions: legal@cofounderforstartup.com.
