How it works

From profile to first call in four steps.

Cofounder for Startup is a matching layer, not a marketplace. Nobody can buy their way into your deck, and nobody sees you unless you both fit.

01

Build one sharp page

Founders fill standardized traction fields — MRR, growth, users — plus the ask and a 45-second video pitch. Investors state thesis, check size, and whether they lead. Cofounder seekers list skills, target role, commitment, and equity expectations. Same fields for everyone, so comparison is honest.

02

Get verified

Every investor account is reviewed before it can swipe — fund registration or a documented angel track record. Founder traction fields are spot-checked against connected sources (Stripe, analytics). Verified fields carry a checkmark in the deck.

Review takes 2–3 days
03

Swipe a filtered deck

Your deck only contains profiles that clear your filters — and whose filters you clear. Stage, sector, geography, and check size are all included. Pass quietly (they never know) or connect. Everyone gets 20 swipes a day.

04

Match and move

When interest is mutual, a chat opens with full profiles unlocked on both sides. Share the deck, book the call. Median time from match to first call is 11 days; we nudge stale matches once, then archive them.

The matching rule

You only ever appear in decks you’d want to be in.

Both filter sets must pass before either side sees the other. A pass is silent. A connect is invisible until it’s mutual.
