The short version: we collect what you type into your profile, show it only to accounts that pass your filters and privacy gates, never sell it, and delete it when you ask. Profiles are never indexed by search engines.

1. What we collect

Account data (name, email), profile data you provide (traction, round terms, skills, video pitch), verification evidence (fund registration, connected revenue sources — reviewed then discarded), and usage data (swipes, matches, messages). We do not collect data from your device beyond what the product needs to run.

2. Who sees your profile

Only accounts that clear your filters — and whose filters you clear. Field-level gates (Everyone / Verified members / After match), stealth mode, and blocklists are enforced server-side. Passing on someone is never disclosed to them. Public directory pages show only what you gate as “Everyone.”

3. How we use data

To build your deck, rank mutual fits, spot-check traction claims, prevent fraud and spam, and send the notifications you switch on. We never sell personal data, never share it with advertisers, and never use your confidential materials to train models.

4. Messages and documents

Chats are private to the matched pair. Data-room documents are shared at the owner’s explicit action and can be revoked. We access message content only on a report, for review by a trained human.

5. Retention and deletion

Data lives in the EU. Delete your account in Settings and your profile, matches, and chats are removed within 30 days; verification evidence is discarded at review. Export everything anytime from Settings → Your data.

6. Your rights

Access, correction, portability, and erasure under GDPR. Write to privacy@cofounderforstartup.com — a person answers within one business day.
