What is advisor equity?

Advisor equity is a small stake, usually stock options vesting over one to two years, given to advisors in exchange for ongoing help.

Grants are usually a fraction of a percent. Put a written advisor agreement with vesting in place, as you would for founders.

General information, not legal, tax or investment advice.
